Where Did The Black Death Start and Why?

The Black Death has been though to have started in China or Central Asia. It then began to spread to Crimea down the Silk Road. From there, the Black Death most likely transmitted itself to Oriental Rat Flees that made a living on feeding off of Black Rats blood. These rats would live on merchant ships that travelled the Mediterranean Sea.
